For every IV member that gets their GC, would it be too much to ask them to contribute say at least $100/- ? May be this can become a norm and the starting point for an "IV Alumni" :)

:( :( unfortunatelly I don't have 140 copy. :( It seems I can't do anything in this case.
I think you can file an FOIA (freedom of information act) form to get copy of your 140 approval from USCIS. The only problem is that it will take some time to do that.
However, do it in any case. You will need that 140 approval later on, even for filing H1 transfer after your intial 6 years are gone.
Guys and gals: Please use all tactics possible and all negotiating powers possible to get copies of approvals from your employers for your file. Whether its 140 or H1, you should have copies of them. The copies are not employer's properties. The petitions are. A photocopy is a piece of paper that says something. If you have photocopy, doesnt mean you own that H1 or 140. Dont fall for this bullshit that "H1 and 140 are properties of the employer so we cant give it to you". BULLSHIT. If someone has a photocopy of the title of my car, does it mean that he owns that car?? NO. I still own it. Anyone can have a photocopy of it. In fact, DMV does have a copy of it. HAVING XEROX COPIES DONT IMPLY TRANSFER OF OWNERSHIP OR OWNERSHIP OF PETITIONS.

The desperation of your post suggests that you don't need direction, you need therapy. We just need someone to give us some assurance that we will all be fine and live to see the light of the day on Tuesday even if DoS sends out a revised Visa Bulletin. At this time, I too need similar assurance from someone. Can anybody help?

Since it is not fresh H1B, she will be able to work on pending H1B status when applying from H4 to H1, her new H1B will not be from October, but rather from the time her status change from H4 to H1 is approved, you have to fill I-129 and I-539 forms.
When she reapplies for her H1 in june 2008 how long will that be valid ? Her first H1 started on Oct 1 2005 and is valid until Oct 1 2008. Currently she has abt 12 months of H1 remaining. So if she changes from H4 to H1 again in june 2008 then will her new H1 be valid until Oct 2008 only ? She must have not utilized 8 months of her H1 i.e from Oct 2007 to May 2008, So will her H1 validity period be 12 months from her application next year i.e. June 2008 + 12 months = May 2009 ?.

jeff, you can shoot the scene in raw and "develop" several images at the exposure that you want (0, +1, -1, etc) in your raw converter. that way you can guarantee that they'll line up. PS also has a pin register feature that will snap the images into place as you create the layers. combine those two methods and it's really fast. i use that often for action shots where there is no opportunity for in camera bracketing. good luck. later, kevin

saimrathi, I am in the same boat too, got the 693 supplement form last week from DR's office, but we filed 485 application in july 2nd week.this is not our mistake. do we need to worry about this ?
I recd supplementary forms to I-693 for my wife and I from the Civil Surgeon earlier this week. Along with the supplementary forms I recd two envelopes (one addressed to me, and the other one to my wife) that had DO NOT OPEN written on them. I sent these to my lawyer's office.
I called the doctor�s office and this is what I found out. Apparently, when the doctor had first given us the sealed envelopes (in June 2007) she didn�t know that the Supplementary form needs to go with the certification she provided us in the sealed envelopes. We sent the sealed envelopes with our Concurrent I-140 = 485 application recd at NSC on 7/2/07 (as per UPS). Now, some of her clients have recd letters from USCIS asking for the Supplementary form, so she has sent the same out to all of her clients regardless of them getting a letter from USCIS. I hope our application doesn�t get rejected due to this; no checks cashed as of today.
My lawyer's response: No the application should not get rejected because of this...however we will submit the supp doc's report to the USCIS when we get the receipt notices.
Anyone else in the same boat? Is this something to worry about? See signature for more info...

P.S. Jeff, don't feel bad, I started out with one of those cheap Wal-Mart tripods too. Now that I have a good one the old cheap one comes in handy for my remote flash. So don't throw it out you may be able to reuse it one day.
