Hi,
I got my I-140 approved last week at Texas Service Center and the status was Approval notice sent. Today, I got an email from CRIS mentioning this case has been transferred to Nebraska Service Center for processing where my I-485 is pending.
Can anybody throw some light on this?

I have changed jobs using EAD after 1.5 years of filing I-485. Can I file for a new Eb-2 case with my new employer and port the priority date of my EB-3 case ? Thanks.

I too have the same question. Isnt EAD a non-immigrant status unlike H1B? So, how can one apply for GC on a non-immigrant status? I might be wrong though.

In the instructions to file EAD they say to print name and alien receipt number on the back of the photos.
What number should we write? I-485 receipt number or receipt number for last EAD?

is 1 company allowed to file 2 i140 for same individual ?

i am a pharmacist recently licensed in florida and i found 2003 approved labor but my lawyer is telling me that in order to substitute it for me i must be licensed in florida at the time of filling date of this approved labor which is in 2003.

Hi All,
I applied for Labor in EB2 category in Oct 2007. It was pending for 2 yrs and 2 days back my employer mentioned that they see my Labor status as denied and that they have not received any denial letter yet.
My H1 will expire in early Jan 2011, so I practically have around 365 days from now to apply for a new Labor. My questions are
1. Should I re-appeal?
2. Do Labors get approved in re-appeal?
3. Can I start a new Labor application with the same employer simultaneously?
4. What�s a safe category to apply at this point in time. EB2 or EB3?

My receipt number begins with WAC too and is with the California Service Center with receipt date of Oct. 5. There was pretty consistent movement until Dec. 18 and though their current processing dates show Oct. 15 since then, I have'nt heard anything as yet. Does anyone have any information on this?

i think it is based on the LC requirements. For EB2, u need " A petition for a foreign professional holding an advanced degree may be filed when the job requires an advanced degree (beyond the baccalaureate) and the alien possesses such a degree or the equivalent. The petition must include documentation, such as an official academic record showing that the alien has a U.S. advanced degree or a foreign equivalent degree, or an official academic record showing that the alien has a U.S. baccalaureate degree or a foreign equivalent degree and letters from current or former employers showing that the alien has at least 5 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the specialty."

My current reporting structure with my employer is:
Client -> Prime Vendor -> Consultant X -> My employer
Another consultant is ready to transfer my visa and the reporting structure there is
Client -> Prime Vendor -> My employer
A prime vendor (not the same client) is also ready to transfer my visa
Client -> My employer
I am planning to transfer it to either (or both) of the above two companies. Will there be a problem in those two companies filing for a tranfer at (approx) the same time?
Is there a way I can ask an attorney directly (I am willing to pay for that service)

The primary applicant's H1-B status must be valid for the dependent to get H-4 VISA stamp. The primary's own VISA stamp is not an issue.
I second that.
As long as your H1 "status" is valid (I 94 is not expired and you are working for H1 job at the employer that is mentioned on I 94), your family members will only need copy of your approved H1 (form 797 with attached unexpired I 94). They will get their visa without much problem.
